Read'em and weep (prices are in pence per litre):
09-Oct-2003: 74.9 24-Mar-2004: 78.9 14-May-2004: 81.9 09-Sep-2005: 95.9 20-Sep-2006: 91.9 22-Oct-2008: 99.9 15-Oct-2010: 114.9
Prices have been taken from my weekly petrol bills. I get them at my local central filling station. Local prices tend to be more expensive than in Aberdeen; probably because they think they can get away from it. Note that an excuse about increased distribution costs doesn't really work, because Aberdeenshire is bang next to the North Sea, where all the oil (OK, so maybe not literally all) in the UK is produced.
